Server Technology and Box to Share Best Practices on Managing Power in Data Center Environments at Teledata

Monitoring and managing power in a data center, regardless of size, can improve the efficiency of a facility, reduce costs and reduce the impact on the environment. Today, more than 15 million people and 150,000 businesses worldwide use Box. Its data center challenges include scalability, power usage, efficiency, capacity, remote management and access, third party integrations (DCIM and other solutions), upgrades and support. The company uses Server Technology’s SPM and PDUs to manage power in its three data centers, monitoring power usage, redundancy and utilizing reports and trends to maximize efficiency.
Server Technology’s SPM is a data center power monitoring and management solution that offers features such as predictive analytics and trending capabilities. One of the breakthrough functions of the predictive trending feature is the ability to explore “What if” scenarios, allowing users to get a preview into future trends and see what will or will not work in your data center. The predictive trending analysis feature uses various cabinet traits to enable IT to view and analyze past and future power-related data, essentially presenting IT with a valuable diagnostic tool.
